Happy 5th Birthday Nephew!!

My nephew Kolby turned 5 on New Year's Day! I can't believe it! We didn't get to celebrate until last night; but for some reason I didn't think to take any pictures!? Ah... I know why, because while the boys were playing, my sister and I were busy looking for shoes for her wedding! Shoes....ahhhhh...
Err, ahem. Back to the star of the show here!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KOLBY!

Here's the birthday boy next to his gingerbread house a few weeks ago. We were not together to do our houses and I just now realized that we both used candy canes on our roofs, ha! Kolby also starts a new preschool today and will go to kindergarten this year. WOW.

Have a great day at school buddy!

We love you!

Deck the dolls~

I'm going to start back up with a simple post, as I am short on time yet again! But I wanna get *something* out there for y'all to see......

I'll be sharing more Christmas decor and gifts soon!

But for now, some of my dollies sporting Gone With the Wind fashions in Christmas colors~
Starting on the left we have a Tonner Scarlett wearing "kissing Ashely good bye" made by Alana. She is my newest and first ever Tonner doll. I like her because she is articulated more than the mint dolls. Above her is a Franklin Mint Scarlett wearing the green "Christmas Dinner" dress, also made my Miss Alana. You can read about my life sized Christmas dress I'm having made here, (nope, not finished yet!)
In front of them is another Franklin Mint Scarlett wearing their version of the "staircase robe".
Lounging in front of the tree we have an Ashton Drake doll, Madra, whom I bought to play Belle from Gone with the Wind. You can read more about that here. I don't think I'll have the heart to cut her hair and I've become quite attached to her as Madra.... so I'll be on the prowl for another Belle soon. Madra is wearing the green velvet "no more babies" gwtw robe and night gown (complete with a faux corset) made by the Franklin Mint.

Eek. I couldn't find anything to use for a tree skirt so you'll just have to deal with it, lol! Just a little tree that I threw some of my vintage baubbles on. I have better pics of that from last year...

Lastly we have a Gene doll, also made by Ashton Drake. She looks luscious in the Franklin Mint's version of "Ashley's Birthday party dress". Who wouldn't?
