First field trip~ Come join us!

(I hope your speakers are on for Little Green Apples, we love this song)
This is a long trip, you might wanna go get a snack or something!

Nova's preschool class went on a field trip last Thursday, and I got to go along. We went apple picking! It was so much fun, I had never been before.

It was Nova's first school bus ride! He said we were going to the Apple "Archery", instead of orchard. SO cute!

Just got off of the bus and I'm already snapping pics~ see me in the window?

YEA! Look at all of those apples!

Looking towards the left half of the orchard. This side is where the Red Delicious variety grew.

We chose the side with crisp Jonagolds. So pretty, with the morning dew still clinging~

I thought the trees were just beautiful, especially with sunlight streaming through.

He got one!
Pull again! Grrrr...grunt face!
Hurry Nova, the hay ride will leave without us!
Happy as can be with a bag full of apples~
Here are a few trees completely weighed down with fruit.
Uh-oh...there's a slide. Nova is a slide junkie!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Pretty chickens~
Pretty dew-kissed flowers~
I know my brother and sister are singing "I'm Just A Love Machine" right now! Anyone remember that commercial with the chicken?
I belive this gal was posing, like that pin-up stance? Breast out, toe turned...She knows she's a hot chick.
Here's a close-up~
How's that for a goatee?

I really hated this maze. We ended up going over and under those blasted ropes.

He loved reaching the top once we got to the middle!
Oooo, beware of these funky, bumply pumpkins!
I like this long green one. Wouldn't that be a nice paint color?
A spooky dark tunnel!
The kids LOVED this! I was hesitant to let him go in at first, but I saw other kids come right out, so I let him go. They went through over and over and over..........
Whew... the chickens are tired, and so is this chick! I'm ready to go home!
Our bounty!
Thanks for coming along!

What fun! There is just something special about going to an apple orchard or a pumpkin patch in the fall. Those apples look so yummy! The kids and I have been craving apples lately. We've been slicing them and eating them with peanut butter. Yummm!

Glad you and Nova had so much fun! I bet he sure is loving "pretty school."

I enjoyed this trip! I've always wanted to go to an apple orchard, that would be a great trip for my kids too, those apples look big and juicy, I would love to eat an apple from a tree, not one that was shipped thousands of miles!

Nova is such a cutie, he looked like he really enjoyed his day! They dont get tired until they sit still for a while!

What a wonderful day! I'm tired too! LOL! I have to admit that I was thinking about the "I'm just a love machine" when I saw the roosters. We do that here too. My 17 year old does a great imitation and would punch me if she knew I'd even mentioned it.
(((hugs)))Nikki. I've not the courage to read those books. I saw an interview with him once, long ago, and I cried for him.
