Pink Saturday, Espisode Two!

Happy Pink Saturday everyone!

Pink Saturday is hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. Be sure to visit her to view more blogs sharing their pink pinkiness!

This week I'm sharing my dainty pink patterned china, and the rest of the depression glass that you got a glimpse of last week. My mom gave my sister the depression glass, but I'm storing it for her right now. I'll be sad to see it go, but I'm sure I'll find another collection to replace it! There is a story behind the china that I'll save for a future post.

This china cabinet was given to me because the owner's son had shot one of the panes of glass with a BB gun. My inlaws replaced the glass for me, and if I had known how much it was going to cost I would've never let them do it. I could've used lace or something! However, it does hold these collections beautifully now.

The china set does not have a name or any marks. A few peices, such as the large platter and the little teapot (I *think*) are Limoge but they are not a perfect match. No, they are not the Haviland Apple Blossom pattern... I WISH! They might be cherry blossoms, but I haven't found anything about them yet. The large platter is what led me to find the other set of blossom china.

I love these etched glasses,

These were taken last Valentine's Day.

And this was taken at Easter time. The appliqued placemats were an eBay find. The are completely hand stiched and just amazing. I love the napkin pockets! Please click here to see the detail! The pink plastic *chargers* were a buck each at Tarjay...

I found the bunnies in a store next to Gary Dowd's restaurant. The beaded wreath was a Big Lots find, and the mirror came from a consignment shop.

You know that plate of mine that you like so much? I would happily trade that for all that depression glass and porcelain pretties in that gorgeous cabinet? So have we got a deal? lol

Love everything you have posted! Depression glass and porcelain is right up my alley, and oh my, I think I saw a couple pieces in the Mayfair open rose pattern! That's the one I collect! I am still searching for some of my depression glass since the move. I just know it is in a box that I put in a special safe special that now I can't find it, lol.

I joined Pink Saturday too!

Happy Pink Saturday, Nikki.

I love everything in your post today. And, I do know for a fact that it cost a fortune to replace a piece of glass in a bowfront cabinet.

I have been searching for pink depression glass ice teas for years.

Oh, Nikki, what beautiful PINK Heaven!! Can you tell me what the name of the pattern is to your lovely pink etched stemware?

BTW, I seem to remember you having some GWTW cross-stitch. I hope I haven't got you confused with someone else....Where did you get the cross-stitch kits? I'm into a cross stitch frenzy right now & want some GWTW ones!

Big TX Hugs,
