PINK Saturday, Episode Five~

Hello and welcome to another PINK SATURDAY! PS is hosted by Beverly at How Sweet The Sound. Be sure to visit her blog and take a tour of the other pink posts in blogland!

Today I'm sharing my vintage raspberry pink settee. I bought this at a local antique mall for $50. The velvet has seen better days, and has much fading, but I think it is shabby perfect!
Here it is shown in the office a few years ago. It is accompanied by vintage smocked pillows, a vintage tablecloth, and a vintage embroidered baby blanket. The pink smocked pillow is velvet too. I have patterns for these and would love to make one some day.

That round rug now resides under my dining room table. We've since got new berber carpet in the office.
This is a shot of the love seat in my craft room, where it will take up permanent residence. A gorgeous antique rug lies under foot, which I found in the dumpster of a house I had stalked.
where closet had been
Here we have fabulous wallpaper from the 40's. I begged for this for my birthday one year, it was not cheap. I intended on using it on the ceiling as it looked somewhat like a tin ceiling design. But alas, I am too chicken to use it. I'm afraid I'll ruin it. And now I'm not so sure I want to use it on the ceiling anyway. Fickle is woman. Especially me. We'll see once we get the trim in and such.
You can find vintage wallpaper at Hannah's Treasures~

I pulled the colors out of this paper for my room. The walls are a soft jadeite green, and the ceilings are PINK!
Lot's to do in this room yet tho.... And unfortunately this is how the settee looks now.

Before you gasp at how junky it looks, I'll share some before shots! There used to be a closet there~
closet that was taken out
We tore that out!

And we found something VERY special.
But you'll have to stay tuned for that story to unfold on another day!
Before I go I'll share some very pretty shabby pink roses on these awesome vintage drapes~

"Pink is like red but not quite".... I forgot how much I liked this song!
Did you have your speakers on?
Enjoy your PINK SATURDAY!

What a beautiful settee! It is going to look wonderful in that room! Also love the vintage wallpaper, but I am like you and would be afraid to hurt it!

Those vintage curtains with the roses are so cute!

I'll have Jake the attack dog standing guard over my plate that you covet! I can just picture you, standing at my door, the plate within reach, and him thwarting your efforts. He'd report to me later that a Miss Scarlett, when chased away, was heard saying, "I'll get it tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is another day!"

Hi Nikki, I just love your settee! My MIL has a couch very similar, and I keep hoping she will get "tired" of it and want to get rid of it! She does that often on everything but that VELVET COUCH! I would so love to have it! LOL! Yours is just the perfect size, and the color is great! I also LOVE the pillows on your settee! I like the rounded cabinet that is next to it, in the picture, too! You have some great vintage items! :)
