Time Warp Wives on Youtube!

They're finally on youtube folks! Here is the show in three parts~

Joann is to be depicting the 50's but she has a ton of 40's garb that I love. I like her fashion dolls too, Gene is a favorite of mine. My Gene doll is currently wearing Scarlett's velvet dress from Ashley's Birthday Party. She's been in it quite a while, probably getting sick of it.
She probably wants me to change her hairstyle too. She was originally a Savannah Gene. Alas, I shall have to leave her in this gown till I get MY velvet gown finished so we can get our photo taken together, *snort*~

I was really surprised that most of them do not want children. I can see them being afraid of bringing up a child in "this era", I have the same fears.
I can't believe the last gal bluntly saying "she'd get rid of it" if she were to become pregnant. There's a more delicate way to put it at least!

The young gal with the rolled pomp bang and chignon has some great blouses! Her makeup is pristine, and she even sports the half moon polished nails! She reminds me of the Madra doll~

Your Gene Doll is drop dead gorgeous.I think she is one of the best dolls ever. She always had a beautiful face,no matter what she was wearing.I know its a scary time bringing children into the world. Its filled with fear and uncertainty. But a world without children even to its end is unthinkable.Marie Antionette

Okay, I'm a little confused. Are these real people actually living their lives as if they're in the 40s and 50s? They actually go out and buy old appliances and stuff? Do they use a/c and all that kind of stuff? What about a washing machine and dryer? Modern, or the old crank style?

Justine :o )

I love the pin curls on the lady at the end of the third 'movie' at time frame 6:26. Her back is to us. I went out last night and bought my pillow curlers! We'll see how it turns out.

Oh wow, that was awesome watching the videos! I've always felt that I was rom a different time but I doubt I could live the lifestyle of another era....I sure would love to wear the clothes though, OMG! How cool! And the shoes too!

Fascinating. Dig that crazy carpet runner going up the staircase in the first couple's home.
I have to admit I'd jump back in time in a heartbeat if I could but most of these ladies seem to be conflicted about today's world, so much so that they don't want to bring a child into it. That's sad. Nothing more fulfilling than being a mother.
Thanks sooo much for sharing that. I really enjoyed it!

I have a vintage lifestyle, the 1930's is my era.
And yes, besides a computer I have no modern appliances in my house.
